Visiting the Majorelle Garden

Explore the 2.5-acre botanical garden created by Jacques Majorelle and restored by Yves Saint Laurent. Features the Berber Museum.

About This Activity

This is a private guided visit, not a standalone entry ticket - the price includes a guide who walks you through the garden and the Berber Museum rather than self-guided admission. Painter Jacques Majorelle began the garden in 1924 and opened it to the public in 1947; after his death in 1962 it fell into disrepair until Yves Saint Laurent and his partner Pierre Bergé rescued and restored it starting in 1980. The Berber Museum, opened in 2011 in Majorelle's former painting studio, holds more than 600 Amazigh objects collected from the Rif to the Sahara. The garden is busiest mid-morning; a guided visit in the first hour after opening avoids the largest tour groups.
