Sunset Camel Trek near Zagora

A sunset camel ride near Zagora or the Tinfou dunes is a short, accessible introduction to the desert atmosphere of the Draa Valley. The experience usually lasts long enough to reach a dune viewpoint, watch the light soften over the palms and stony plains, and return before nightfall. Longer treks and overnight bivouacs are also available, especially on routes continuing toward M’Hamid and Erg Chigaga. Conditions are hot and exposed for much of the year, so travelers should bring water, sun protection, and warm layers for winter evenings when temperatures can drop sharply after sunset.
