Telouet (High Atlas Gateway)

Telouet marks the High Atlas end of the Ounila Valley road, where travelers leave the Tizi n'Tichka pass and begin the slower P1506 route south toward Aït Ben Haddou. Most visitors stop here just long enough to see the kasbah's weathered exterior and surviving decorated interior rooms before continuing down into the valley. Because services are limited and public transport doesn't reliably cover this road, Telouet is really only practical to reach by rental car, private driver, or organized tour.
